Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates went viral on social media after posting a video on Instagram of himself driving an electric three-wheeler during his visit to India on March 6. In the video, Gates is seen enjoying his ride while dressed in a suit and tie, with the song "Babu Samjho Ishare" from the film 'Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi' playing in the background. The vehicle he was driving, called Mahindra Treo, is an electric rickshaw that can travel up to 131km and carry up to four people. Gates praised the Indian company Mahindra for contributing to the decarbonization of the transportation industry. Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra also tweeted the video, suggesting a three-wheeler EV drag race between Gates, himself, and cricketer Sachin Tendulkar.

Gates also shared a video titled India by the Numbers on LinkedIn, highlighting India's growth in healthcare, education, and economy. He praised India's efforts and growth in the digital sector during his meeting with Minister of Electronics and Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In the video, Gates mentioned that 90 percent of Indian children have received essential vaccinations, and enrollment in primary schools in India has increased to nearly 100 percent from just over half in 1970. Gates emphasized the need to reinvent the way we do everything from agriculture to transportation to achieve a zero-carbon emissions world.

Overall, Gates' visit to India was a positive one, with the billionaire philanthropist praising the country's progress in various sectors and advocating for a greener future.
